Live Performance of ‘You Weight me Down’
‘You Weight me Down’ is a song I wrote and composed after watching a documentary about the Vietnam war. One comment really resonated with me, it was something like: ’The Vietnam war was the first war that was broadcasted on television, yet when Marilyn Monroe Died all that the news talked about, was her’. I think that phenomenon is a really common trait of us humans. We know we should focus on what really matters. But that is not what happens in reality.
‘Where are you now, I should know, where to start where to go, you owe me that
We’ve been wrong from the start, I alone live in the dark, you shine so bright
But I’m older now, I wonder how’
