During the residency from mid-August to mid-September, I researched ‘the vulnerable human’ and connected this to the bunker’s historical and spatial aspects. I found inspiration in using fragile materials. With large pieces of cardboard, I created an installation in which I traced the cracks of the concrete and recreated the shadows of the bunker in a dynamic and sculptural installation. The public could look through the entire length of the corridor system of 12m long.

Van halverwege augustus tot midden september deed ik tijdens de residentie onderzoek naar ‘de kwetsbare mens’. Hierin liet ik mij leiden door kwetsbaar materiaal en de geschiedenis en ruimtelijke aspecten van de bunker. Met grote stukken karton ontwikkelde ik uiteindelijk een installatie waarin ik de scheuren van het beton en de schaduwspel binnen de bunker, vertaalde naar een dynamische beeld waar het publiek door de gehele lengte van het gangenstelsel (12m lang) kon kijken.
