During the residency DE ARCADE, I looked at various artistic methods to map a space. Through conversations and short-term collaborations with the other 15 makers (all from different disciplines) – and with my research on the Abbey and its history – I got inspired to create the sculptural work ‘Als alles zwijgt’. A work based on the (in)visible traces of the previous residents of the monastery.

Tijdens de residentie DE ARCADE deed ik onderzoek naar verschillende artistieke maakprocessen en het vertalen van de ruimte om ons heen. Door gesprekken en kortstondige samenwerkingen met de andere 15 makers uit verschillende disciplines, liet ik mij samen met mijn onderzoek naar de Abdij en diens geschiedenis, inspireren tot het uiteindelijke sculpturale werk ‘Als alles zwijgt’. Een werk gebaseerd op de (on)zichtbare sporen van de vorige bewoners van het klooster.
