DITCH THE WITCH

In Ditch the Witch (2026), I explore the persistent parallels between the historical persecution of women and the contemporary rhetoric used to stifle female voices in public debate.

The work is an unsettling video collage that juxtaposes archival film footage of cinematic “witches” with a modern soundscape of female politicians and activists addressing sexism and femicide. By layering these voices over imagery of the “dangerous” woman, the work exposes how the visual language of the past, once designed to vilify and eliminate, continues to echo in today’s political and social discourse.
