For my MA graduation exhibition, I created the installation Object Mori. In this work, I explored audience participation and the symbolism of a ‘home altar’, focusing particularly on the role of objects left behind after a loved one has passed away.
On the final day of the exhibition, I concluded the work with a performance titled Memento Object, in which I ritually cleared the space of all the objects and bid it a final farewell. The exhibition, curated by Trudy Hekman, took place in the last week of June at the former offices of the NS (Dutch national railway company).

Voor mijn afstudeertentoonstelling (MA) maakte ik de installatie Object Mori. In dit werk onderzocht ik publieksinteractie en de symboliek van een ‘huisaltaar’, met een specifieke focus op de rol van achtergebleven objecten na het overlijden van een geliefde.
Op de laatste dag van de tentoonstelling sloot ik het werk af met een performance getiteld Memento Object, waarin ik de ruimte ritueel ontruimde en het geheel een laatste afscheid bracht. De tentoonstelling, gecureerd door Trudy Hekman, vond plaats in de laatste week van juni in het voormalige kantoor van de NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen).
